This majestic little cemetery sits jauntily on the crest of a hill in Vernon County. I photographed this using a side arm attachment for my tripod in order to get the camera down to grass level… in fact, the camera was inverted so that I could get it even lower! A lovely couple came to photograph the same little plot as I, which is unprecedented for it is the middle of the night when I photograph. We were talking as I was packing my gear up and they were setting up to shoot. All of a sudden the sky literally lit up for 8 seconds or so. I watched in amazement as a bolide flew towards Viroqua, the cemetery was lit up as if it was daylight. It was one of only two bolides I have seen in my life.
In my more than twenty-five years of being a commercial photographer I have seen images printed on almost every single substrate imaginable. And in that time I have never seen prints that look as stunning as these aluminum prints. They come alive in a way that I did not think possible. As one gallery owner I showed these to exclaimed, “It is like looking out a window!” They are truly unique in the way they shine when well lighted. So when you buy one of these prints, please make sure to light them generously!
