I had been looking for an old crag for a couple of months when one day this majestic cottonwood appeared from behind a hill. The reason that it I had not seen it before, on a road I travelled many a time, was because that hill blocked seeing it until one is past it while driving west, but it is visible when driving east. Smack dab in the middle of a green bean field it was quite a challenge getting out to the tree... myself and my gear kept on getting tangled in the twining stems. Ugh! For those interested in astronomy, Saturn was chasing Jupiter across the heavens that summer; Jupiter is peaking out halfway up the tree to the right, Saturn in the bright spot a smidge to the left of the tree.
In my more than twenty-five years of being a commercial photographer I have seen images printed on almost every single substrate imaginable. And in that time I have never seen prints that look as stunning as these aluminum prints. They come alive in a way that I did not think possible. As one gallery owner I showed these to exclaimed, “It is like looking out a window!” They are truly unique in the way they shine when well lighted. So when you buy one of these prints, please make sure to light them generously!
