St. John’s Cemetery Triptych

St. John’s Cemetery Triptych

The Hillsboro, WI area is considered the “Czech Capital of Wisconsin.” Not far from there, in the township of Dilly a mission church was constructed in the latter quarter of 1892. It was dedicated to St. John Nepomucene, the namesake of the patron of Czech and Bohemian people, meaning “St. John the helper.” on October 10, 1893. The parishioners and new pastor, Father John Prucha, endured many hardships and adventures constructing St. John’s church, including gathering by hand the large foundation stones, sawing lumber for the church framing and hauling the 24,000 bricks on heavy horse-drawn wagons from a brick factory some 40 miles away over bad, muddy roads.

Why Metal Prints?

In my more than twenty-five years of being a commercial photographer I have seen images printed on almost every single substrate imaginable. And in that time I have never seen prints that look as stunning as these aluminum prints. They come alive in a way that I did not think possible. As one gallery owner I showed these to exclaimed, “It is like looking out a window!” They are truly unique in the way they shine when well lighted. So when you buy one of these prints, please make sure to light them generously!
